Inhibitor Education Summits

-

When you live with hemophilia with inhibitors, you face challenges that are unique. If you or a family member has an active inhibitor, or if you are currently tolerized, NHF’s virtual Inhibitor Education Summit will allow you to share your experiences, learn about treatment and care, and provide ways to manage the emotional impacts of living with an inhibitor.

The 2020 Virtual Inhibitor Education Summit will be held:

Thursday, October 29th through Sunday, November 1st

The Summits are tailored for all members of the inhibitor community.

If you are new to living with an inhibitor, there are sessions to explain the basics of inhibitors and treatment.

  • For families who are more experienced, there are sessions on joint health and mobility, and sessions to support you and your family’s needs.
  • Adult men with an inhibitor have sessions on living well emotionally, and joint issues.
  • Teens living with an inhibitor face special challenges. This year’s teen track has sessions designed by teens who understand the obstacles they face and can offer guidance on navigating the transition to adulthood.
  • Woven throughout the weekend are sessions that provide the emotional support that the whole family needs. Siblings, spouses, parents, and all caregivers are encouraged to attend.
