National Volunteer Opportunities 

NBDF is a fully remote organization, which allows volunteers from across the country to support our work. Volunteers are paired with departments based on their interests, skills, and availability.

Volunteer opportunities may include supporting areas such as:

  • Fundraising
  • Advocacy
  • Education
  • Research
  • Health Access
  • Marketing and Public Relations

These opportunities may involve project-based work, event support, or other initiatives that help advance NBDF’s programs and outreach.

Did you know that thousands of companies offer volunteer grant programs where they donate to our organization after you volunteer your time?  Volunteer grant programs are corporate giving programs in which companies provide monetary donations to organizations where employees volunteer regularly. If you volunteer with us, it’s an easy way to provide us with additional financial support! 

 

Regional and Local Volunteer Opportunities

In addition to national opportunities, NBDF’s chapter affiliates across the country offer local volunteer opportunities within their communities.

These opportunities may include:

  • Supporting local programs and events
  • Assisting with outreach and community engagement
  • Providing administrative or organizational support

Individuals interested in volunteering locally are encouraged to connect with their local chapter affiliate to learn about available opportunities in their area.

Internships at NBDF

NBDF partners with universities and colleges to provide students with opportunities to gain professional experience while supporting our mission. Internships allow students to learn about nonprofit work, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop skills in a mission-driven environment.
