The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation’s (NBDF) 77th Annual Bleeding Disorders Conference (BDC) is finally here. We like to think of this as a family reunion – whether you’re new to the community or have been attending for years, you’ll be welcomed with open arms.

Welcome to the Heart of Our Community

For those of us living with or working within the bleeding disorders community, this conference is more than just an event—it’s a chance to come together, share stories, and unite around our collective mission to improve lives. Over the next few days, you’ll connect with community members, learn from leading experts, and explore the latest advancements in research, treatment, and advocacy.

This year’s program is brimming with sessions that cover everything from the latest scientific breakthroughs to practical tips for managing daily life with a bleeding disorder. Whether you’re a patient, caregiver, or medical professional, this is your time to ask questions, get expert guidance, and gather knowledge that can make a real difference for yourself and others.

Where Science Meets Hope

Innovation in bleeding disorders treatment is full of promise, and is reshaping how we think about care. Take this opportunity to learn from multiple perspectives: healthcare providers, researchers, and lived experience experts. You can zoom in to focus on specific disorders, such as ultra-rare bleeding disorders, platelet disorders, hemophilia with inhibitors, and VWD, or find practical guidance in sessions like “Finding the Right Treatment for You,” designed for women, girls, and people who have the potential to menstruate. Together, these sessions combine science and real-world experience into a compelling look at what is ahead for our community.

Build Your Community

One of the greatest aspects of this conference is the chance to connect with others who truly understand your journey. Be sure to seek out roundtable discussions where you can engage in deeper conversations. Ask questions of the healthcare providers who conduct the educational sessions. And connect with families who share similar experiences. Coming together is how we build community—and the connections made here can last long after the conference ends.

Get Ready for an Unforgettable Experience

As we embark on the first day of this year’s Bleeding Disorders Conference, let’s celebrate who we are—and that we are all here together. Over the next few days, we’ll share ideas, swap stories, and lean on each other for support. This conference is about learning, connecting, and creating experiences that will carry us forward long after we head home.
