Donna Coffin, MSc, is Director of Data & Research at the World Federation of Hemophilia, Montreal, Canada. An epidemiologist by training, she leads the WFH global data and evidence portfolio, including the WBDR, Gene Therapy Registry, and Annual Global Survey, as well as initiatives related to evidence-based advocacy, treatment guidelines, and shared decision-making in bleeding disorders care.

Jennifer Maahs, MSN, PNP

Jennifer Maahs is the Chief Nursing Officer at Innovative Hematology (IHI)/Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center (IHTC) in Indianapolis, Indiana. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University and her Master’s from Indiana University. Ms. Maahs entered hemophilia care in 1994 as a Hemophilia Treatment Nurse at the Indiana Hemophilia Comprehensive Center and became a Hemophilia Nurse Practitioner in 1996. Ms. Maahs oversees the structure of clinical care for patients at the IHTC and is responsible for day-to-day clinical operations; QI/QA to improve patient outcomes; strategic planning; as well as regular interaction with local, state and national care providers and agencies. She specializes in program planning, education, and patient care in the areas of hemophilia, hemostasis and thrombosis.

Ms. Maahs is active in the Great Lakes Regional Advisory Council, Partners Advisory Board and is the US representative to the World Federation of Hemophilia Nursing Committee. Ms. Maahs also served as nursing liaison to the Medical and Scientific Advisory Council (MASAC) of the National Hemophilia Foundation and Chairman of NHF’s Nursing Working Group from 2002 to 2005. She received the NHF Award of Excellence, Nurse of the Year (2003) and the Hemophilia of Indiana, Inc. President’s Award (2015). She has authored & co-authored several publications and is an active presenter in her areas of expertise with local, national and global organizations.
