Target Audience
This activity is intended for U.S. physicians, physician assistants, osteopaths, and nurse practitioners who care for women with inherited bleeding disorders.
Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:
- Describe the need for regular screening of health in women with bleeding disorders
- Review data outcomes from a recent study among U.S. HTCs on screening for bone health in women with bleeding disorders
- Discuss a few of the more commonly prescribed drugs available to treat anxiety and depression and any potential implications specific to individuals with bleeding disorders.
- Explain the need for hematologists and other healthcare providers to raise questions about an individual’s mental health and wellness during HTC visits.
