Connie was educated at Francis Marion University and the Medical University of South Carolina. She is married and has two children. Connie is very active in her local community of Pawleys Island, SC. She is a retired business owner and occupational therapist. She also serves on NBDF's Steps for Living Taskforce . Her family is directly impacted by bleeding disorders. Connie has served on countless boards and she has participated in many organizations, namely MUSC's Family Advisory Committee and several review boards for grants and scholarships, nationally and internationally. She and her son are factor VII deficient.
